pedal with a purpose

CBCC’s original line-up: Matthew Hirschy, Alexander McCall, and Evan Wienck

We are a cycling club on a mission.

Charlie Brown Cycling Club — CB Cycling Club/CBCC for short — is a kick-ass crew
of passionate cyclists united by a greater purpose: to build a brighter future
for LGBTQ+ Americans through activism, fundraising, and fitness.

This is where sport meets social change.

We exist to elevate queer visibility in cycling, to raise funds for local and national organizations partnered in support of our vibrant, diverse community, and to create a place where all riders can discover joy and a sense of belonging, regardless of skill level or background.

With every mile we ride and every dollar we raise, CBCC is pursuing a world where LGBTQ+ Americans are free from the burden of discrimination and are empowered to live happy, healthy, and full lives.

Together, we pedal for progress. Together, we pedal toward equality.

This is what we believe

  • Discrimination and prejudice have no place at CBCC.
We are committed to creating a safe, supportive,
and nurturing space for all teammates and participants.

  • We respect each other's individual strengths,
and we understand the profound value of collective effort
in pursuit of a common goal.

  • Closets are for clothes, and perhaps holiday decorations. Though we are a team, we celebrate individuality.
We invite our teammates and supporters to be authentic and to show up wholly as themselves — nothing less.
    Let your freak flag fly!

  • Life is too short to not have fun.
We try not to take ourselves too seriously.
There is always space for laughter here.
